The Couronne adorns a brutal yet beautiful, hand-designed and jacquard-woven illustration—one which can be interpreted in a number of ways. From one perspective, the industrial, monochromatic pattern depicts a braid of barbed wire. But if you look through a different lens, perhaps it resembles a crown of thorns—though presented not in the natural tones of thorn and branch, but in steel grey. Perhaps the thorns are not organic at all. Perhaps they are made of metal
